Since 2013 Lola has been performing and organizing performances in various retirement homes in Prague. Some of the old ladies and gentlemen living there have been abandoned by their families, some are sick and need 24/7 assitance, some are OK but stay there just to have some company.
The main idea of the project is to bring and share emotions produced by the joyful art of dance and movement.
'It is a shame we neglect aging so much. We fear againg, associate it with death, ugliness and sickness, forgetting that something fading can still remain beautiful. We put our grandmas to the ghettos for old people and rarely talk about them, visit them or consider them at all...Such a shame, indeed. As a matter of fact, we have so much to learn from these people. They can serve us as an endless source of inspiration, wisdom and joy. I lost all my grandparents when I was a little girl and always wanted to have at least one BABUSHKA. Now I have many :)'
